The frenzied disgorgements from the Throat of Fire seemed to be the least of Jack Cooper’s worries as he races through the oppressive confines of the Amazon Rainforest, following the directions of an implausible map in an attempt to discover a hidden cache of Inca treasure. What had started out as a simple attempt to rescue an old friend, has turned into a mad scramble to just stay alive.
But Jack doesn’t want the treasure for himself. He suspects that concealed amongst the riches is a religious artifact of great importance; something which should not be allowed to fall into the wrong hands, like those of the mysterious Solomon Templars or the ruthless Crimson Blade.
Can anything else go wrong, Jack wonders, as he faces deadly challenges from heavily-armed FARC rebels, a secretive all-female tribe, the legendary Mono Grande, a deranged Russian, and a gang of tough, determined stevedores. As usual though, Jack has an eclectic assortment of helpers—a Mossad agent, a skilled computer hacker, a mysterious heroine, and of course his beautiful wife, Molly.
